Bear Creek Regional Park is managed and maintained by El Paso County although it is within city limits. This 573-acre regional park contains ten miles of multi-purpose, non-motorized undulating trails winding through the park. There are also picnic pavilions, playfields, tennis courts, playgrounds, an archery range, horseshoe pit, and volleyball and basketball courts. An organic community garden within the park recently named the Charmaine Nymann Community Garden is one of the region’s most popular. Bear Creek Nature Center is located on the far west side of the park. Access and parking are available off 26th street and Lower Gold Camp Road.
