High Chaparral is the most prominent ridgeline on the east side of Colorado Springs. This 54-acre parcel provides exceptional views of the Front Range, the Spanish Peaks and Wet Mountains to the south, and Black Forest to north. It provides trails, wildlife habitat and a visual buffer for the busy Powers Blvd corridor. High Chaparral’s prominent ridgeline is covered with scrub oak and mixed grass prairie.

From I-25, take the Garden of the Gods exit east. Garden of the Gods will turn into Austin Bluffs Parkway. On Austin Bluffs Parkway head east/northeast to Stetson Hills Boulevard. Turn right at Stetson Hills and head east. Near the top of the hill, turn right into the High Chaparral parking lot. Near the top of the hill, turn right onto Kristi Ridge Drive into the development. Take an immediate right and follow Rose Ridge Lane to the southwest toward the water tank and the trailhead.
