The Chutes Trail in Stratton Open Space has re-opened for downhill mountain bike use, but areas of the trail are still under construction and riders may encounter equipment and/or contractors as work continues for the next few weeks.
As the snow begins to cover our trails, we want to remind users to be safe and plan ahead.
Check the weather forecast before you venture out.
Dress in layers, but avoid cotton which absorbs moister.
Ride or hike early in the morning when trails are frozen hard.
If you encounter mud, ride or walk through it or turn around. Don’t widen the trail by walking around it.
Move slowly and use caution, conditions may be slick and icy.
Postponed – Boulder Park Draft Master Plan Meeting
