Operational days and hours changing for several spray grounds and fountains.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department operates four spray grounds and fountains located throughout the city. As summer winds down, the Deerfield Hills Spray Ground and the Julie Penrose Fountain will begin running on reduced days and hours beginning Aug. 12. To welcome the public to experience the Uncle Wilber Fountain during twilight hours, its operational hours are extending on Friday-Sunday until 10 p.m., starting Aug. 2.

Uncle Wilber Fountain in Acacia Park
- Monday-Wednesday, noon-6 p.m.
- Thursday, noon-7:30 p.m.
- Friday-Sunday, noon-10 p.m.*
*From 7:30-10 p.m. on Friday-Sunday, only the pop jets and lights will run, not the full show.
Beginning Aug. 12
Deerfield Hills Spray Ground at Deerfield Hills Park
- Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Julie Penrose Fountain at America the Beautiful Park
