The wait is almost over. Work on the Cottonwood Creek Trail extension under Academy Boulevard will continue through April as crews finish the trail, staining of walls and installing safety railing. All construction is weather and resource-dependent. The trail will remain closed until the project is complete.
The Cottonwood Creek Trail under Academy is scheduled to open on May 1, 2019!

Once this stretch of trail is complete the underpass at Vincent Drive will open allowing uninterrupted travel on the cottonwood creek trail from the pikes peak greenway, all the way to union Blvd. Creating a vital link for Northeastern Colorado Springs trail users.
