Telephone Poles at Rock Ledge Ranch

We wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the conversation in the local community, and address it straight from the horse’s mouth!
Colorado Springs Utilities is proudly part of the 2019 APPA Lineworkers Rodeo, and Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site is the lucky location to host the event! The setup is quite extensive, and with the event well over a month out, noticing the changes may have been alarming! But do not worry! This is not paving a parking lot!
The event is Saturday, March 30- rain or shine. (That’s what these workers do!) After the event, they will remove the poles quickly and restore the East field. All of the holes will be refilled and packed to their original condition, and the field will be reseeded. The planned time after the event is a week or so. Envision the community’s beloved site more lush with grasses and even better than before! (Just in time for Earth Day, April 20- it’s a free day!)
For those that remember White House Ranch: you may recall there used to be telephone poles throughout the East field to bring power to the latter families that lived on the property!
Rock Ledge Ranch really does appreciate how much each of you cares and protects this site with your curiosity, contributions, commitment, and passion. Thank you!
