Bikes and Brews

Come to Old Town Bike Shop for a night of entertainment, treats and fun. Party with a few organizations that are helping to make our community a better place. Donate $10 to all 5 non-profits (Trails and Open Space Coalition, Kids on Bikes, Rocky Mountain Field Institute, Millibo Art Theatre and the Council of Neighborhoods and Organizations) for entry into a drawing for great prizes.

Join us for some fun events (most of them are free entry) and let’s celebrate!
Give! is a year-end multimedia and guerrilla marketing campaign designed to generate funds, volunteers and applause for the important work local nonprofits perform. This year there are 90+ nonprofits in Give!
Tour de Lights

Deck the halls and your bike for the 1st Annual Tour de Lights! Bike Colorado Springs is partnering with Trails End Taproom to put on this fun, pedal-powered and festively-lit event. Best decorated bike(s) and helmet will win prizes.
While you are there, don’t forget to vote for Trails and Open Space to receive funds for Trails End’s Give! Great Outdoors Challenge.
Karma Hour at Bristol Brewing

Gather at the Bristol Pub for a pint, and support the good work that’s being done in our community. $1 from every pint sold goes to the Trails and Open Space Coalition.  Doing good never tasted better!

Trails End – Give! Great Outdoors Challenge
Trails End Taproom will donate 5% of all sales throughout November and December to the Great Outdoors Give! nonprofits. So pour yourself a craft beer at the only self-pour taproom in Colorado Springs and vote to support the Trails and Open Space Coalition.

Any time you purchase a Black Lager at Bristol Brewing or Old Chicago, now through December, $3 from each pint sold goes to the Give! charity of your choice. Vote for Trails and Open Space Coalition to help us raise money for local parks and trails.

Foothills Trail gets concrete through Rock Ledge Ranch
The Foothills trail through Rock Ledge Ranch is getting updated!
Colorado Springs City Council approved shifting Trails, Parks and Open Space (TOPS) Trails dollars to the Foothills and Gateway Trails in Garden of the Gods for the repairs.
Sand Creek Stormwater Project

The Sand Creek Trail has been extended and now has the first-ever Navigable Drop Structures in Colorado Springs! The City’s Water Resources Engineering Division is introducing Complete Creeks as a way to bring educational and recreational components into the design of stormwater infrastructure projects.

Parks and Wildlife Annual Holiday Open House

Get to know your local state park during the annual Holiday Open House. Come to Cheyenne Mountain State Park Visitor Center to learn all about the park and the wildlife that call it home in winter. Enjoy hot chocolate and special treats, while the kids visit Santa and create a special craft to take home.
Winter Solstice Astronomy Hike

Celebrate the shortest day of the year by learning about the winter sky on a guided night hike in Garden of the Gods. Dress for cold weather with appropriate hiking boots and bring a flashlight.
