The Waldo Canyon planning process is about to begin, a little over six years after fire damaged most of the forest and a good portion of the trail. A new website provides links to the public survey and upcoming public meetings: http://waldocanyonplanning.com
Before the devastating fire, the Waldo Canyon Trail was one of the most popular Forest Service trails in the region. If you want to be a part of re-imagining Waldo Canyon for the future, please fill out a short survey and express your hopes for the process and property. Taking the survey means your opinion will be taken into consideration as decisions are made. Hiking, limited camping and potential new trailheads will all be part of the discussion. Here’s the direct link to the survey.
Attending one or all of the public meetings will allow you to stay on top of the options, hear from other Waldo enthusiasts and weigh in on the future of this beloved canyon.
