North Cheyenne Cañon: Seven Bridges Damage
Update on conditions at North Cheyenne Cañon Park::
  • Seven Bridges trail has reportedly lost the first bridge. People are getting across using stepping stones.
  • Mid Columbine has a warning sign about standing water, debris, and ice. A boulder did come down in front of a hiker.
  • Cutler has no sign but has scree run-off, ruts, etc.
Please take care if you go on any of the trails.
Raspberry Mountain Member Adventure August 11
Sat, August 11, 8:30 am – 11:30 am
Located west of Monument and south of Palmer Lake, Raspberry Mountain is a broad, wide peak next to Mt. Herman. It suffers an identity crisis, sharing the exact same name of a peak near Divide in Teller County.
This hike is a four-mile round trip. Raspberry Mountain’s elevation and heavy tree cover makes it a nice hike on hot summer days, and the lower portions are ripe for really great wildflower viewing in early summer. Sign up here.
Please volunteer for the Trails and Open Space Coalition at the ADT races!
We could really use your help at our big end-of-summer event: The American Discovery Trail Races.
  • Sunday, September 2, 2 – 3:30 pm–help TOSC staff load tables, chairs and tents into a truck, carpool to America the Beautiful Park and unload.
  • Monday, September 3, 1 pm – 2:30 pm–meet at America the Beautiful and load the same stuff into the truck, unload at our storage. Reply to this email for more info or to sign up for either of these dates.
  • We also need volunteers for the race itself on Monday, Sept 3, with various times and duties–see more info here.
