The public is invited to participate in a “Trash Mob” cleanup along a portion of Sand Creek alongside more than 100 Colorado Springs Girl Scouts as part of World Thinking Day Saturday, March 17. 10 am – 2 pm. Meet at the trail along Sand Creek behind Sierra High School, 2250 Jet Wing, Colorado Springs 80916.
Volunteers: Wear study boots, long pants, bring a water bottle and have fun! Trash bags and nitrile gloves will be provided.
The project, conducted through the City’s Adopt-A-Waterway program evolved through a collaborative effort with the Colorado Springs Girl Scouts SU 414 and Harrison School District 2 to demonstrate the impact one can make in their community when people work together to achieve a common goal.
