The public is invited to Envision Ring the Peak: Gateway to the Outdoors
The forum, sponsored by the Trails and Open Space Coalition, Friends of the Peak, and Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance, provides an opportunity for community members, property owners, public officials and all interested individuals to learn more about economic development opportunities associated with outdoor recreation in the Pikes Peak Region and provide input on the Ring the Peak Trail Master Plan.
The forum features two panel discussions and a small group workshop addressing the challenges and opportunities surrounding Ring the Peak for local communities. Our first panel features leaders from three unique communities who are embracing and exploring the potential links between outdoor recreation and economic development. They will share their success stories and vision for the future. For our second panel, we’ve assembled a diverse group of experts offering a broad range of perspectives on Outdoor Recreation and Economic Development. We’ve asked them to think about the vast opportunities and challenges ahead of us related to Outdoor Recreation and invited them to envision what success could look like for our State, region and the Ring the Peak Trail. The workshop will invite attendees to share their vision for the entire Ring the Peak Trail and discuss challenges, opportunities and solutions for the missing 8-mile gap in the Trail.
