We had a great time at our 30th Anniversary Member Celebration on September 13 at the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. About 150 members and partners came out for food, drink and socializing. See the photo gallery below for pictures of the event. Special thanks to Lynette Reagan for many of these fun photos! (If you have pictures you would like to share, please send them to eileen @ trailsandopenspaces.org.)
We were so happy that so many of our partners attended:
EPC Parks ( Tim Wolken, Dana Nordstrom and Jason Meyer), COS Parks ( Kurt Schroeder), Colorado Springs Bike Planner – Kate Brady. Presidents and representatives from many of our Friends Groups: Incline Friends, Friends of the Peak, Guardians of Palmer Park, Friends of Monument Valley Park, Friends of Red Rock, Friends of Peregrine Parks &Open Spaces and Friends of North Cheyenne Cañon, and representatives from the Waldo Waldo 5K (we are beneficiaries of the event!)
City Council President Richard Skorman attended, and said a few words about why he cares about our organization, and why the Stormwater initiative is so important to our community and to our parks.
We had plenty of great food and lots of delicious beverages, listened (and some danced!) to music, met old friends and made new ones. The weather was perfect–it was a great way to celebrate 30 years of the Trails and Open Space Coalition, and celebrate our MEMBERS, who make possible everything we do.
