We told you a couple of weeks ago in this space that Animal Control Officers were starting to patrol and to ticket. It’s on!
Be sure your dogs are leashed in the Parks. Officers have been giving tickets to people with unleashed dogs, with a fine of $50 per violation. That means if you have three dogs off leash in a park are not designated for off-leash dogs, you could get a ticket with a hefty $150 fine (more if your dogs are also unlicensed and don’t have rabies tags).
Be a part of the planning process for the North Nevada Avenue Corridor! Help the City create a plan to renew North Nevada Avenue between Austin Bluffs Parkway to the railroad bridge south of Fillmore Street. Everyone is encouraged to attend a series of four community workshops that will be the central point for plan development.
Those who participate in the Workshops will guide plan decisions. The first workshop is Wednesday, August 3, 5:30 p.m., Mortgage Solutions Financial Expo Center, 3650 North Nevada Avenue.
Visit ColoradoSprings.gov/RenewNNAve to take a quick survey to help the City gather information and ideas about the North Nevada Avenue Corridor. Sign up for email updates or find out about the next public workshop. More details on our blog.
