Join us for the first ever Colorado Springs Bike Summit!
Friday, June 3 11 am – 7 pm

Find out more about where to cycle, how to stay safe, why bicycle infrastructure matters for cities, and what organizations and the City are doing to help create a network of trails and bikeways. Speakers include Randy Neufeld of the SRAM Cycling Fund and our new Senior Bike Planner Kate Brady.
Registration is required for this free event. Includes lunch and after-Summit Happy Hour and networking.
Partners include UCCS and the UCCS Sustainability Department, the Colorado Springs Independent, SRAM, Bike Colorado Springs and the Trails and Open Space Coalition.
Join us for another fun night out, this time at Red Leg Brewing Company. $1 from every full pint sold will be donated to TOSC. We’ll have drawings and prizes just for fun, and Rocky Mountain BBQ will be there with their Texas-style barbecue, so come on out and make it an evening!
We’ve had a lot of cancellations with the weather this week. Here are some volunteer projects for the weekend that are still on, as far as we know. Be sure to sign up ahead of time in order to get updates or cancellations.

A major construction project is finishing up at Cottonwood Creek Trail near Vincent and Zios, and is now open between the Pikes Peak Greenway near Criterium Bikes and Vincent Drive. Check it out!
Pikes Peak Greenway (south, near Janitell) Fall 2016
Since the flood took away large piece of land, a portion of the Fountain Creek bank is now on private land. City Parks is working through the city’s legal office to get an easement before they can reconstruct the trail.
Construction is expected to begin this summer with the project completed by fall.
Construction on South Sand Creek Trail to connect with Greenway May 2016
When the trail is complete, possibly by end of May, it will allow trail users to travel from Hancock Expressway to E. Las Vegas St. along Sand Creek and connect to the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail near the Juvenile Justice Center. Watch for updates on this exciting development!
