El Paso County Parks invites the public to attend the first Fountain Creek Regional Park Master Plan meeting, which will be held on Wednesday, January 27th, 2016, at the Fountain Creek Nature Center. The meeting is scheduled from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Please come to the meeting to hear more about the project and voice your opinions about the future of Fountain Creek Regional Park, including potential park and trail improvements, potential upgrades, and maintenance. The Fountain Creek Nature Center is located at 320 Pepper Grass Lane in Fountain.
Project team members will present information about the park, a flood recovery update, the results of a community-wide survey regarding Fountain Creek Regional Park, and the results of interviews with key stakeholders. As a meeting participant, you will be asked to take part in a ranking exercise for future improvements to the park which will be funded in part by Ballot Measure 1A funds. This input will assist El Paso County in managing this County property, determining existing and future needs, and developing plans for improvements, upgrades and additions to Fountain Creek Regional Park.
