Bear Creek Trail Connector to re-open Nov 18.

The Bear Creek trail connector to the Pikes Peak Greenway is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, Nov 18.
 
This is the trail connection between Bear Creek Regional Trail and the Pikes Peak Greenway behind the 8th Street Walmart.
This closure is part of the larger project of widening and reconfiguring the I-25/ Cimarron interchange.

Monument Creek Watershed Restoration Plan Meetings
The Fountain Creek Watershed Flood Control and Greenway District has been awarded a $300,000 matching grant to develop a master plan for the restoration of Monument Creek and its tributaries. Share your vision for the creek by participating in the Monument Creek master planning open house Nov. 18.

Bike/Ped bridge near completion
Work is ongoing at the bike and pedestrian bridge near the intersection of 31st Street and Highway 24. The bridge crosses Fountain Creek and will connect the 31st St trail and the Midland Trail. This project was funded from the bike tax that is levied on the sale of bikes in Colorado Springs for trail improvements and maintenance.

Logo Contest for Friends of The Equestrian Skills Course
Contest will run through Nov. 30, 2015. The logo needs to be simple and applicable to use on letterhead stationary, signs, caps and t-shirts. It needs to specify “Friends of The Equestrian Skills Course.” Springs) Winner will receive a 75# Bucas zebra print fly sheet valued at $189.99.
