Creek Week Kickoff and Cleanup

This event is open to the public; have fun with TOSC and make a difference!
TOSC will join the Creek Week Kickoff at Fountain Creek Regional Park for the cleanup and fun kickoff activities. We will gather at 8 am for sign in, then take a short hike to our cleanup location. We’ll work until about 11:30, then return to the main staging area to take group photos and do prize drawings.We’ll have special swag for our guests!

Find out what the community has been saying about the city’s outdoor resources and give your opinion on the draft statements prepared from previous meetings and feedback.
The Waldo Waldo 5K is a locally-run family-friendly 5K walk & “fun run” fundraiser for local nonprofits.
The registration fee comes with a Waldo or Wenda costume kit (characters from the popular “Where’s Waldo?” children’s books) that includes a shirt, hat and glasses! Register now; the price increases the morning of the event.
Thousands of city trees in North Cheyenne Cañon, Bear Creek Canon Park and Blodgett Peak were defoliated this summer. City of Colorado Springs Forestry Dept has a plan to try to save the trees.
City Parks wants your seasonal shots from any of our City’s natural treasures, scenic hideaways, gorgeous vistas, or places in action. Contest rules at the link.

Voters will be asked in November to allow $2.1 M in excess revenues to be used for critical trail projects.We have pics and project list.
The City of Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, U.S. Army, and Colorado Springs Utilities are starting the planning process to replace the existing facilities on the summit of Pikes Peak. Public input is needed!
