Some young friends of TOSC took a pledge to pick up trash on our trails and in our parks and open Spaces. Will you take the pledge?
Make a video of you and your friends taking the “Pick up Pledge” and post it to our Facebook page. Prizes and schwag will ensue!

 

UCCS Bike Jam Sept 3.

UCCS Bike Jam Thurs, Sept 3
7:30 am to 1 pm in El Pomar Plaza.
Billed as “a cycling event for people of every ability,” the fun includes a mountain bike trail tour, bike repair classes, bike blender smoothies, and a campus cruise.
TOSC will be there with a booth–come by and see us! Special schwag for the first 10 people who come to our booth and say they saw the event in our newsletter. More info.

Trail Detours on Midland, Bear Creek & Greenway.

The CDOT project at I-25 and Cimarron is fully underway. Several trails have been closed temporarily, and one permanently. Details and detour info on our blog.
Bear Creek Trail–The connection with the Greenway at the 8th Street Walmart is closed for up to three months.

Midland Trail–The connection to the Greenway at America the Beautiful Park is closed permanently. A new connection is planned further south.

Greenway Trail–Intermittent closures will be in effect throughout the project between the bridge at the 8th Street Walmart and America the Beautiful Park. Both sides of the trail will be open for Labor Day weekend. Watch for signs and detours.
