Join the outdoor community at a FREE Expo Thursday, August 13 at Ivywild, 5-8 pm.
This event is free to attend for people of all ages, kids to seniors. We’ve got a fantastic list of vendors that are coming out: from trails (TOSC!), bikes, to 5ks, Swingline, nutrition, skateboarding, trails, maps, bouldering, clothing, and more. Plus rooms full of amazing people who love all of these things just like you.
If you ride your bike to the event, come see us at the Trails and Open Space Coalition Booth and get SWAG!
Last Chance to sign up for Mt. Kineo Member Adventure!

Enjoy breathtaking views of Bear Creek Canyon and Cheyenne Cañon. The approach to the mountain is on the Seven Bridges Trail and through Jones Park. The path to the summit is little-known, and so seldom hiked. This is a pretty strenuous hike, and will take most of the day. If you’re up to the challenge, join us! More info and signups here.
This is a Members-only event. Please do not sign up if you are not a current TOSC member. If you would like to become a member, please go to http://trailsandopenspaces.org/donate. For questions about your membership status, please email us or call 719.633.6884.
Join Friends of the Peak to remove slip and trip hazards for the runners in one of our area’s showcase events, the upcoming Ascent and Marathon. Volunteers will remove exposed roots and rocks sticking up in the trail and other hazards. Work might also include improving drainage, repairing erosion, and other trail maintenance. The Pikes Peak Marathon will take volunteers, tools, and gear up Longs Ranch Road over to Barr Trail and bring everyone back down.
The US Forest Service has released its draft decision regarding the restoration of the Bear Creek Watershed. The new plan calls for decommissioning trails and creating new, more sustainable trails within the watershed in order to protect the endangered Greenback Cutthroat Trout.
Comments and objections must be submitted by September 4.
Volunteers needed for the ADT Marathon, Half, and Relay.
Pikes Peak Road Runners and the Trails and Open Space Coalition need your help on Labor Day, September 7. The American Discovery Trail Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay, and Kids Runs requires close to 250 volunteers, and serves as a major annual fundraiser for TOSC. We need your help working at an aid station along the course, or at kids races, finish line, drop bags, food pavilion, setup or breakdown. Enjoy beautiful America the Beautiful Park and aid a good cause.
