The Forest Service proposes to replace two trail bridges located on 7 Bridges Trail (622) at mile posts 0.4 and 0.9. One of the bridges is warped and recent rains have caused water to come up over the bridge, creating a safety hazard for visitors and users of this trail. Neither of the bridges have hand rails for safe crossing.
The new bridges will be 32′ long x 4′ wide timber structures. Work will include removal of existing structures installation of new bridge abutments and superstructures, riprap scour protection, construction of approach steps, site clean-up, and re-vegetation. The project is scheduled for Sept 5 – Nov 15, 2015 and may involve trail detours and/or closures during construction.
