Is trail work too much for you, but you’d like to help our parks? Come out for a weed-pulling day in Bear Creek Park! With all the rain we’ve been getting, the weed crop is high and ready to seed, so it’s important to get them now.
Saturday, August 1, 8 am – noon
Bear Creek Regional Park
El Paso County Parks staff will give an introduction to the noxious weeds you’ll be looking for, and provide gloves and bags. Groups of 5 or so will go out to concentrate on specific parts of the park with high weed concentrations.
Be sure to wear long pants and long sleeves!
