The City of Colorado Springs Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is seeking applicants for three (3) vacancies on the TOPS Working Committee.  The committee determines spending priorities for the Trails, Open Space and Parks sales tax, which is the one-tenth percent sales tax approved by voters in 1997.
If you are involved in an organization dedicated to promoting trails, parks, or open space, or can demonstrate an interest associated with parks, trails or open space, we encourage you to apply. You do NOT need to be a resident of Colorado Springs to apply.
Committee members serve a three-year term with the option to be reappointed for a second term.  The group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30am.  Other meetings, including tours of candidate properties for TOPS funding, may occasionally be scheduled depending on the volume of applications or projects.  City Council has the final authority on land acquisition and approval of the budget for TOPS-related projects.
To apply, send a one-page résumé outlining how you meet the above qualifications and a one-page explanation of why you wish to serve on the TOPS Working Committee.
