Trails and Open Space Coalition Receives REI Grant

REITOSC is developing a new community recreation and education program this winter. The “Get Outside” program will include a website resource page and “Get Outside” community outings series. The web page will feature a quick reference of local outdoor activities designed to promote regional recreation, stewardship and physical fitness. A “Get Outside” brochure will also be produced and distributed to regional outdooor stores, recreational organizations, and conservation partners.

This coming spring we will also coordinate 3 community outings designed to promote recreation and stewardship of our regional trails and open spaces. Outings will include a hiking interpretive trip and educational restoration projects. Anyone interested in attending any of the outings can contact us directly at (719) 633-6884, or email us and ask to be included in our e-news blasts!
