Enjoy a midnight bicycle ride through the streets of Colorado Springs.
Bike the Night Away with 1500 of your closest friends as you ride through world-renowned Garden of the Gods Park and then the streets of Colorado Springs. Start your evening with music by Pulpit Fiction, delicious free pizza courtesy of Borriello Brothers NY Pizza and fresh hot coffee from Colorado Coffee Merchants - plus great prize drawings. After your ride, join us for another great pancake breakfast.
Great Rest Stops
Once again, we will have our famous ‘themed’ rest stops with REI hosting the first fun-filled stop, and Colorado Springs Cycling Club and Old Town Bike Shop outdoing themselves at the second stop at Bancroft Park in Old Colorado City. Look for costumes, refreshments and maintenance support at each stop.
Why Ride?
1. It's fun to ride in the dark! A "surreal experience," as many people have told us.

Imagine starting your ride at midnight through the world-renowned Garden of the Gods park. Majestic red rock formations greet you as you ride west from the Visitor Center. Turning north you will find yourself winding through the park seeing is as few others do, since the park is normally closed to visitors at that hour. From there, you will get back on 30th Street and begin your ride through the streets of Colorado Springs. You have the option of coming back into the Garden at the Trading Post off Beckers Lane or you may ride the Foothills Trail back to the Visitor Center.
There are a number of options for the ride. If you wish not to ride the hills of the park, you may skip the Garden, head north on 30th Street and take the short 14-mile ride beginning on 30th St. Along the way, you will have two rest stops sponsored by the Colorado Springs Cycling Club, REI and Old Town Bike Shop. Additionally, there will be a maintenance stop at the south end of Garden of the Gods park.
Lights are a must for the ride, both front and rear. It can be very dark in the Garden and lights will make you more easily seen by motorists on city streets.
Stop and enjoy our rest stops. You never know when you may spot Gilligan or the Wizard of Oz! |
