Gold Camp Road. The
USDA Forest Service has identified its preferred alternative for
Gold Camp Road. Its preferred alternative (Alt. E) is to re-open
Tunnel #3 and open the road to motorized use with a one-way pattern
from north to south. Additional trails and trailheads would be
built. Hikers and cyclists would be able to use the road in both
directions. This is not a final decision and the public has the
opportunity to comment until Mar. 15. Visit their website
for information on Gold Camp Road issues for more info and to
comment.
